Three performers—one in virtual space, two local, one pregnant, holding the potential of being three performers herself—will use experimental movement to consider the lines of solidarity and tension that connect their experiences and connect their experiences to the girl in the blue bra. The performance explores mobility in the face of gendered/racialized/state sponsored violence and asks how a transformation or birth can take place from a forced immobility into individual liberation and collective mobilization. The movement will be motivated by the performers’ personal experiences with intensities of forced immobilization and movement through mediated and networked spaces.

This collaborative performance features Micha Cardenas and Leyya Tawil and was presented at the iMappening Exhibition at USC, Los Angeles, CA
